USARAF's area of responsibility
The 10 countries that make up Africa's eastern region are Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Tanzania, and Uganda.
Africa's northern region includes Algeria, Cape Verde, Egypt, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco, Tunisia, and the UN non-self-governing territory of Western Sahara.
The 14 countries that make up Africa's western region are Benin, Burkina Faso, Cote d'Ivoire, The Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Mali, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone, and Togo.
The 10 countries that make up Africa's central region are Angola, Burundi, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Republic of the Congo, and Sao Tome and Principe.
The 12 countries in Africa's southern region are Botswana, Comoros, Lesotho, Madagascar, Malawi, Maritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Seychelles, South Africa, Swaziland, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
